AIS Exit Policy
Grades 10-12
A student in grades 10-12 can be exited from AIS if he/she
satisfies the following:
- The student has passed all grade-appropriate Regents or
RCT exams that he/she had failed in the past
- Student is passing all current classes necessary for
graduation with an average of 70 or higher
- The student is on track to graduate from HTCSD
- The student wants to be exited from AIS
Procedure:
- Student will contact Guidance Counselor and ask to be
removed from AIS
- Guidance Counselor will review Regents exam history and
determine if student has passed all grade-appropriate Regents exams
- Guidance Counselor will determine if student is on track
to graduate from HTCSD
- Guidance Counselor will determine if student is passing
all current classes necessary for graduation with an average of 70 or
higher
- If all the above are satisfied, Guidance Counselor will
complete the attached form and give a copy to the student and to the AIS
teacher.
- The Guidance Counselor will complete the paperwork
necessary to add/drop the student from any scheduled AIS classes or study
halls
- The AIS teacher will then complete the paperwork to exit
the student from AIS
