Hey Wildcats! Schooled In Hoops Basketball Camp returns to HTC Monday August 4th. See below for some important info from the camp director and as always you can reach out to the athletic office if you have questions.
We are excited to be back for our annual August basketball camp at Hunter Tannersville
Here are some things that you can do this week to prepare.
Label everything (water bottles, snack and lunch bags, basketballs).
Make sure your child has their medication if they need it. Ex. Inhalers, and Epi Pen
Camp hours are 9:00am - 2:30pm with drop off starting at 9:00am am and pickup ending at 2:30pm
Please drop off and pick up entering from the Playground entrance at the Hunter Elementary school. Paving will be taking place during camp so we can’t use the main entrance. Use the dirt road right before the main entrance and park on the basketball court. Staff will be outside greeting campers.
Please have your child bring snacks, lunch, and a ball from home (please write name on it). They are also encouraged to bring card games, books, coloring books or small toys to use during snack breaks or lunch.
We have a wonderful group this session and we are looking forward to sharing our knowledge of basketball with your child in a fun, safe environment.
We will have pizza Tuesday and pizza Thursday if you are interested. Those days your child will receive a bottle of water, Gatorade, and 2 or more slices of cheese pizza. The cost of this is $13. Have your child bring money in a sealed envelope with their name on it.
Camp will follow all School District mandates. We will have multiple breaks throughout the day and make sure the kids stay hydrated.
We also have a few spots left so please pass along to friends and family.

Don't forget about our upcoming summer activities! The Booster Club Golf Tournament is this Saturday July 27th at Colonial golf course. We are looking for more teams so reach out to Bobbi Schmitt if you are interested in playing or sponsoring. Also, Schooled in Hoops (Basketball Camp in Tannersville) will be here before you know it August 12th-16th. Make sure you get your kids signed up ASAP. Use the link on the Athletics page or go to www.schooledinhoops.com. Lastly Family ID is now open for Grades 7-12 Fall Sports registration. Make sure you sign up prior to practice so the nurse can approve you to start practice. Practices start August 26th. Stay tuned for individual team practice times and locations! Congratulations Class of 2030-
This fall when you enter 7 th grade you will have the opportunity to
participate in many new experiences. One of the first adventures will be the
chance to attend a “Team Building Field Trip” at Camp Chingachgook in Lake
George, NY. The dates of the trip will be October 3rd and 4th , 2024. In
order for the camp to prepare for our arrival we need parents to fill
out the MANDATORY risk waiver and dietary needs forms as soon as possible.

the paperwork does not obligate your child to attend if for some reason they
decide not to go. Please contact us if you have any questions.
More information on this once in a lifetime experience will be forthcoming. We

Ceremony starts at 1:00 p.m. family and friends are welcome to attend.
Please note you must enter the building using the front main lobby doors.

Sports News:
Congratulations to the Golf teams Kate Smith and Teagan Mahoney for their performance in Girls Golf Individual Sectionals last week! For their efforts both girls have qualified for the NYSPHSAA Golf State Championship at the Edison Club June 1st-3rd. Teagan qualified 6th shooting a 93 and Kate qualified 1st and shot an amazing 74 to take top medalist in all of Section IV. HTC could not be more proud of these two wonderful young women! Congrats again and good luck in States!

The Athletic Department will be holding it's end of the year events in the upcoming weeks to celebrate our student-athletes accomplishments.
On June 5th at 6:00 PM in the Tannersville New Gym we will hold the HTC Athletic Banquet. The event will honor our JV and Varsity Athletes. No invitations will be sent. Light refreshments will be served. Please dress up for the occasion.
On June 10th at 6:00 PM in the Tannersville New Gym we will hold our annual Senior Recognition Night/Brick Dedication. This event will honor our Senior class athletes . Invitations will be sent home with the seniors shortly.
On June 13th we will honor our Modified Athletes during the Middle School Awards ceremony.
