Dear HTC School Community,
We need your input on "What are the most important skills, experiences, and characteristics that the next MS/HS principal should demonstrate?". To gather your feedback, we're using a tool called ThoughtExchange. All of our voices matter, so your participation is crucial and valued.
You'll be asked to respond to one open-ended question, consider and assign stars to some of the ideas shared by others (20 to 30 is ideal), and learn what's important to the group.
Your thoughts and stars are confidential. You can come back as often as you'd like to participate and, in fact, we ask that you do come back to star some of the new ideas shared since you first participated. The ratings will help us understand the most important areas to focus on.
If you need technical help, please call ThoughtExchange at 1-800-361-9027 ext. 4 or email help@thoughtexchange.com
Thank you in advance for your help and input.

Good evening HTC,
The National Weather service has just issued the first Winter Weather Advisory of the year. To recap our processes, the decision to delay or close school is typically made around 5:00 am. Once the district makes the decision to delay or close, we will use the following media to share the message:
1st - Local News Stations (Channel 6,10,13 etc.) for immediate submission
2nd - School Website (LIVE FEED SECTION)for immediate submission
3rd - Text Message Alert will be sent to your phone at 6:00 am
4th - Push Notification to anyone with the HTC APP at 6:00 am
HTC will phase out the early morning phone call messages and move to all electronic communication strategies.
Take care,
Mr. Jones

Congratulations to the HTC XC team for finishing their season strong. The girls varsity team placed 3rd overall against the 6 Greene County schools. Scoring for HTC were Hedda Flynn (11th place individually), Alexis Legg (13th place), Stephanie Molina Rodriguez (17th place), Andrea Guzman (19th place), Ava Byrne (20th place) and Allyson Kappel (21st place).
The boys team was incomplete, however Lyden Smith and Garrett Legg placed 21st and 22nd consecutively in the county.
The girls modified runners also had an incomplete team, but runners Lillia Walsh (3rd), Amali Reyes 8th), Grace VanDean (16th) and Lilliah Harper (17th) all did a great job against strong Greene County competition.

Good luck to the HTC Boys Varsity Soccer team who begins sectional play today! Game time is 3:30 in Margaretville.
Thanks to our amazing fire and EMS crew for escorting our team through town!

The HTC XC team had a great turnout at today's last home meet. The Varsity girls came out strong, having the first team of more than 5 runners in over 3 years! Senior Hedda Flynn led the HTC team finishing 6th overall for the girls against a very solid Maple Hill team. Her teammates Alexis Legg, Stephanie Molina Rodriguez, Allyson Kappel, Andrea Guzman and Alyssa Trani all ran exceptionally well! Lyden Smith was the lone Varsity boy runner placing 8th in the sea of Maple Hill runners. He crushed the course, finishing under 20 minutes.
The modified girls also fared well against their opponents. Lillia Walsh finished in 4th place, Amali Reyes placed 9th, Grace VanDean 12th, and Brooklyn Foley 13th.
The HTC XC team will compete in the Greene County Championships this Friday at the Windham Path in the final race of their season. Good luck team!
